I
started melting glass in March of 2002. Armed with Cindy Jenkins'
Making Glass Beads, I read it and everything I could lay my
hands on for about 4 months. I spent countless hours on the
ISGB site and then WetCanvas, reading and researching all I could.
Decided to purchase the needed equipment, I can remember being so
scared to light my hot head for the first time, but I quickly got over
that fear. There was no stopping me for hours on end after that.
Glass
has been one of the most fabulous, challenging and ever changing
things I've done. I also learned how to do my own website,
which is my public journal in a way. I look back now and see
how I've progressed through the years, witnessed on my gallery
page through my work.
A peek into my
basement studio. It's not fancy, nor is it normally clean, only on
rare occasions when someone's coming over! It's my haven when the
right side of my brain speaks.

My
family and I recently moved to the foothills of the Appalachian
mountains, just 1 hour north of Asheville, NC. We've
left the beautiful and fabulous Florida Keys to live in an equally
beautiful mountain home. Living in the city on over an acre is
a sure and welcome change, we love the room for being loud if
we want and for the dogs to run and be free.
